Let's just say it was the best 49 miles I've ever driven. What a blast! While I did find out I have good reflexes, I also found out that I can't heel-toe worth a dang, can't trail brake and constant radius corners are the most fun.

Just having the opportunity to flog a Mustang GT was a real hoot. And not worrying about the cost to fix something on it was priceless.

Now I REALLY want a rear wheel drive car.


I wish I had taken that class back when I was a youngster.

Most people suck at heel-toeing initially. It just takes practice.

Shoe selection matters for heel-toeing, soft sneakers at a minimum, gym shoes or race shoes if you're really serious. So does pedal placement and Mustangs aren't necessarily known for optimum pedal arrangment, and neither is the SHO. My silver car has an aftermarket brake pedal for just this reason...haven't done anything with the Pumpkin yet, maybe I'll move the one from the silver car which is kinda cheesy anyway.

Yeah, but FWD has it's advantages, too. When I went there way back when the instructors in the SHOs had absolutely no difficulty kicking butt over the Mustangs. And in the rain FWD ROOLZ!!

Tom, that sure sounds like it'd be a blast! What was the program you took called? I've always wanted to go to that school since I...or before I got my liceanse.

I still wish I could have gotten to the Pavilians, but after we ate with some family we took some other family to the zoo lights, which was pretty cool.

I had a fun time Saturday though! Nice to meet a bunch of you.

Tom-Yeah, that axle was pretty mangled huh? -Did you look at the thrust sides of the triplan -looks like someone used it as a hammer! I cleaned it and left it out because I thought you like to see the result of max line pressure.(I think I left your solvent tank in a bit of disarray-sorry!) Anyway, got it all fixed up and had a chance to meet your son(nice guy). Thanks for letting me use your stuff and thanks for the photos.

Also, If anyone is interested, 3 gen 1 SHOs @ Ecology(u-pull yard) 2 with complete motors, 1 w/ no upper intake(eng-$200) -many good trim and interior parts.

looks like when my leg is better I need to get to one of them thar junk yards. I'm healing up quickly. Not pulling any motors soon, but can almost hobble.

Dislocated my knee...chipped a piece of bone off the underside.

Ouch Mike, I did not realize you hurt yourself. It's good your getting better though.

Speaking of junk yards, there is a '92 in the JY here with 89k miles on it. I'm going to snatch the crank this week since I need a new one for the rebuild.

I may be looking to head out to AZ this winter as I'm really tired of the cold weather. It is good for snowboarding though!
