Intake Manifold

Check Engine Light is on and the error given was....

Manifold Intake Stuck Open (Bank 1) Can some please explain what causes this.
What can I do to fix it? Any opinion or suggestion on this would be appreciated!!

I just purchased this 97 SHO and I love it. Any tips or suggestion on this car would be great. it has 139,000 miles and it runs great!!

Unfortunately, I can't help you with your problem as I have a different generation of SHO (a lowly V6 ). In case you were not aware, SHO's 1996 and newer are referred to as Generation III, and you can find out all about them at V8SHO.com. You might have better luck with your problem by posting your question in the Emergency Issues of the Gen III sub-forum.
