Intake gaskets

I am going to paint my intake, however i dont want to special order or get the intake gasket from the dealer. Is the metal gasket reusable??

Yes, the gasket is ok to reuse as long as it's in good shape. As long as the black paint isn't flaking off or anything, you'll be ok to put it back on. thumb

If the black "paint" on the gasket isn't chipped, then yes it is. Otherwise, you will have to order it.

We offer the whole gasket set, as well as all the gaskets that seperate the plenum from the runners and so on, for $49.99. Just a thought and a cheap plug. :)

It looks like it is silver. If there was black paint its not there now. Does the kit come with the rubber boots and clamps also? Mine kinda look dry rotted.

You can also get the shim type intake gaskets individually. The Motorcraft E9DZ-9439-A (2 each) from FordPartsNetwork.com for $12.49 each or FordPartsOnline.com (currently off-line) for $11.90 each.
