I installed my new Anthony mounts today, took me 5 hours. I fought the front mount, I finally was able to get both of the bolts started and torqued them down.

The rear one was a real MF, I could get the front bolt started but not the rear bolt, or get the rear bolt started but not the front. After trying spreading the rear hanger I gave up after I could not get both bolts in. I finally went to the Auto store and bought some grade 8 3/8 bolts, washers, nuts, and lock washer and I was able to get it through the rear hole. I tightened it down and it seems fine, it was like it had a slight twist to it and the bolt just wouldn't line up with the second hole.

I have to say though they work well, car sounds totally different and I don't get that drop when you hit the gas pedal, the car just wants to go.

Drop tranny in neutral. ;) Engine might have been torqued one way against the mounts. Or your motor mounts are shot.

But yeah, big difference with a more solid mount than stock. However, I do have to say, the single-mount 2017+ (or whatever) seems stiffer than the previous stock dual-mount setup, to begin with.

I used all my swear words alot.

I sent an email to Anthony and here is his reply.

Hi Frank,

One other had a bit of difficulty because he was on ramps with the car in park and had torque on the mounts. He messaged me and I told him to take it out of park and they went right in. I feel really bad you struggled with the install. At least you got them in and like them. Sorry you had trouble.

Best

I will try in a week or two the method in neutral and see if I can get that rear mount bolt to connect to the nut in the hanger.

At least I hold the record for the most time. Not something I really cherish.

Thanks 76 I will try it again.
Ouch. I am lucky enough to have a buddy where we put it on a lift to do it... only 20k miles ish so bolts came right off. Doing one at a time maybe took 20 minutes. It was probably the easiest change of of all the mods, but with no pressure on it. Hopefully you'll gain good karma from this for a more difficult situation in the future where you'll get to say wow that was easy compared to what everyone else dealt with lol.

That would be nice. Thanks

Mine took half hour. Had to pry one side of one mount with a small pry bar, then the correct bolt went right in. My two cents.

Same here. Wasn't hard at all, and I was on jack stands.

Okay went under today and removed the 3/8 bolt, and within 1/2 hour and a couple new swear words I got the bolt in. I'm thinking that driving with the stiffer mounts helped line things up, and the bolt finally went.

I put the trans in neutral also but for the life of me I still couldn't budge the mount.
