Hi Everyone
My 90 taurus sho has a bad outer tie rod end and was going to do new inner and outer's. With the inner's I've seen on here that there is a rivet that holds it on and with new ones there's set screws. The ones I've picked up don't have a set screw it comes with lock tight. My question is this: is the new one going to be a problem since its lock tight instead of set screws? And is it worth replacing them when theirs no sign of wear? Just figured while I'm there even thou the outer ones are the only thing that needs done

Thanks Mike

"If it aint broke, dont fix it" :) If there is nothing wrong with the inner tie rods, why change them?! Its not hard to get to or fix if/when it goes.

There is a sticky in the "How to" section of this forum on how to change the inner tie rods.
Just remember, if you get a new rack at some point, it comes with new inner tie rods and sometimes the whole rack assembly is not much more than the 2 inner tie rods.
I would only change them as a last resort and it is proven they are bad.
