Too far of a drive. There are a few on CL, but nothing worthwhile really. There was one in Cahokia that caught my eye, but I think its overpriced.

Gen I seems to be an acquired taste. Being a Plus, it is the best looking Gen I you can buy, stock.
Everyone loves the Gen IIs though, thats what got me into SHOs to start.

I'd like to get a Gen II. And I'd like to keep it under $1500. I figure I can sell my beater car for $1000 and spend a little on a nicer car.

There is one by me in Iowa......95 mtx red, 160K some rust on pass side......has a y-pipe and new clutch for $650!

That dude with the junk SHO in St. Charles seems pretty desperate to get rid of it... as in, he has a listing full of craaaap he's trying to sell. I could probably get it for cheap. Could an o2 sensor and a bad EGR keep one of these cars from running?

How would you know? Not trying to be all "know it all" ish, just wondering. I have decent mechanic skillz, and if I could pick this car up for stupid cheap (as I did my Crapalier) and get it going for cheap, it'd be a sweet ride. I might go check it out tonight, if the dude ever calls me back, since he can't live more than 15 mins from my house.
