I saw the most beautiful SHO today! It came into Jiffy **** to get its ac recharged, but we couldn't do it since it was R12. Anyways it was an 89, they were the original owner and said it was one of the first ones available. It was current red and this paint looked brand new! Original paint and original owner, less than 100k on it. He had a little SHO super high output banner on the windshield and then a little powered by yamaha sticker on the back window. I asked the guy if he was on shoforum, he said no but his son used to be. It had Nevada plates on it and this thing was Cherry!

Has anyone else seen this car lately? Don't worry if it's anywhere near you it'll stick out! Just had to tell you guys, because this thing is a serious contender with the garage queen for best kept sho award.

I wonder if that's the guy that lives up in Carefree and his son is back in New York going to school. I helped him do something on it while he was here on break. If I remember correctly, it had rust on the bottom side. Did you get a look underneath?

Nope, didn't get a chance to look under it, but the guy was about your age Tom, also had a wife and a kid. If it's the car I saw, it was amazing!

Nick.......ya, yup that's probably true!

Tom, how do you get in touch with that guy that was at your shop a while ago? If i remember, he was into restoring saxaphones. He had the sweet GEN 1 without the spy-hunter kit installed. I'd like to get a hold of him.

AND GUYS...... I might get a sweet GEN 2 from my friend back east!!! i think the color is moonlight blue and it is a stick. I think I got to have it.

Tom, dont'worry, I will be up this weekend. Are you going to be around? Any one up for pizza then a run down to the pavillions?

Yeah, I thought so.

Jesse,

Looks like I will be here on Saturday, so I can help you out. I'll be trying to figure out how to mount my new hood strut re-locators. We can pull a main or two and plastigage them for peace of mind. Rods should not exceed .003 according to the book. I'll have the assembly **** and blue locktight (I think I have some left) ready for you.

eric? what kind of selmer?

I have a Mk VI Tenor and a Selmer SA80 Soprano. The Sop is in perfect shape (bought it new about twenty years ago) and the Mk VI has a ding in it near a valve that I'd like to get fixed.

This is the second Mk VI that I've had; the first one was stolen , and it was a sweeter horn, too.

Tom, I Thought The Green Stuff Was The Deal. If Blue Is What Is Used, So Be It. I Will Pick Up Some More. If The Shop Is Low On Anything Else Just Lemme Know. Thanks - J

 While that was kinda funny AFTER he got it fixed, there is a valuable lesson there.

Jesse, I have enough blue. If you're going to clean up the intake on it, you might want to pick up some B-12.
