i have a 1993 ford taurus sho and was replacing the wiring harness that hooks to the computer. i was stripping the wires back and saudering them back together and taping them off with electrical tape when i noticed that both solid black wire pulled straight up out of the harness. what do i do now. i pulled back about 8 inches and could not see where they came from. they were clean cut. but do i need them. i am stuck in a hard place. can someone help me and are they groung wires. there are a total of 60 wires and i have connected 31 of them so far.

First - why are you doing this?

Second - there is very little "spare" wire in most harnesses. Cutting a portion out and then resplicing is likely to create problems in the future.

Last - "where" is this black wire located in the harness? There are often several grounds within the same harness. You'll need to describe "where" in the harness you're working, using other connectors and/or takeouts for reference.

How much of the harness have you opened (ie. pulled the cloth and plastic tape off)?
