Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 335 indicates the Pressure Feedback EGR (PFE) / Differential Pressure Feedback EGR (DPFE) sensor is out of Self-Test range.

Possible causes are:
• Damaged PFE/DPFE sensor.
• Obstructed pressure inlet hose(s).
• Garage exhaust ventilation system affecting PFE/DPFE sensor operation.
PFE/DPFE system can sense a lack of pressure in the vehicle exhaust system. An efficient garage exhaust ventilation system that is installed during KOEO test mode may generate a DTC 335.
• Remove garage forced ventilation system and properly vent to atmosphere.
• Rerun KOEO test.

Are the small hoses attached correctly on the DPFE? Is the EGR vacuum solenoid working OK?

Where is the garage forced ventilation system?

This refers to the exhaust removal systems in commercial vehicle service bays. Basically a big hose(s) that fits over the exhaust pipe(s) and sucks the exhaust out of the building. If it has enough vaccum on it, it can affect exhaust system pressures and cause false EGR codes when the vehicle is tested in the shop bay. You can safely ignore this concern if you aren't in a shop bay with the exhaust removal system.

See this thread. It has a lot of relevent information. http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=56088&highlight=335

After checking the egr, replacing the dpfe (I did the 02's a few months ago) I believe the problem is my vss (great). I bought the part today and intended to put it in...WRONG!! I'm giving the car to my mechanic for that job!!!!! My speedo jumped around a bit today and the vps has been a little off for a while so I'm hoping replacing the vss will take care of my problem since there's nothing left to replace in the emmission system. My mechanic has done tons of work for me in the past and won't charge me more that $100 or so and it seems to be well worth it.

NOTE:
If you have a "check engine" light on there is a problem with one of several possible sensors. Removing the light bulb WILL NOT solve the problem. When the check engine light is triggered, by either a failure of a sensor, or a lack of signal from a sensor, the computer puts the electronic ignition system in a "limp-in" mode. The engine is made to run rich and timing is affected. So, fix the problem and not the symptom, such as removing the light bulb.
