Finally getting out of that state of Misery---I mean Missouri, huh? I hate it there, so I can understand you wanting to get back.

Nothing in the panhandle huh? I moved closer over from Mobile. I'm in Daphne now, so I'm only 28 miles from the FL line. I'll keep inching over until I get there someday---well maybe not with their homeowner's insurance and property taxes!

Thats true. I was surprised how cheap it was when I bought my house last year. Plus being in the middle of the state helps too.

yep,you have to find something built after 94-95 IIRC to save.
In my area thats hard to find,everything here was built when the space center got big in the 60's and 70's.

Anything after the Miami Dade building code saves lots of money. Add on hurricane shutters, shingles that are nailed down and roof styles and you are not paying an arm and a leg-all these are standard on houses for the last 5+ years.
