While I'm on a tear with 2-topic posts, can somebody give me a good source for new hood struts? Also, what's the trick for removing the exterior door strips (middle of the doors)? Blow-dryer set to hot? Mine are very dirty and I plan on painting them as the finish has worn off.
(Obviously I have not researched these as much as my previous post). :munch:

Thanks!

For the hood struts, you can get them just about anywhere, they are a standard Taurus part. As per your other thread, if you order a coolant reservoir on rock auto, I'd get the struts there too.

As far as those strips go, I want to say there are holes behind them, as I thought about removing them. Either that, or I tried to pull some off at the JY and they didn't budge. You'll need more than a hair dryer.

I just painted my strips on the car. I've got used struts that are still good.

Mr. Nimz,
To each of your statements I will respond with a question. What's the best way to remove the door strips? How much for the struts? (PM)

PM sent. I would guess the trim is glued on. I really have no idea how to remove it.
