Chuck,
You're going to need more engine than that to beat The Other Woman. Specifically, you'll need a block; the thingy with the big holes in it, then you'll need the boingy things that go in the holes, and then the bent thingy that keeps the boingy things in the thing with the big holes.
Do I detect some polished parts!!!! Whoa.
Tom
Actually its just a lowly FRPP Boss block. I would have liked to get CHI stuff but too much $$$$.

What are you putting this motor in?
:drool:The aluminum Fontana engine is going in my 1973 DeTomaso Pantera. The estimated flywheel horsepower for this engine set up with the CHI 3V heads and manifold will be about 600. It will be a 396 cubic inch stroker with a 4.100 bore and 3.75 stroke. With the aluminum block and an aluminum fly wheel the car's curb weight might be a little over 2800 lbs.
The current .030 351 Cleveland engine that is in the car is putting out a little over 400 horse power, so the new engine set up should make a difference. The fifth gear will also be replaced in the ZF transaxle and that will drop 500 rpm off of the engine. With the solid lifter cam and a 6500 rpm read line, the top speed should be somewhere in the 180 plus mph range.
