Hello, I’m David and I'm also in a fox body group I currently have an 89 mustang I'm working on and I'm looking for a SHO Taurus before they all get extinct. Thank you!

I’m looking at a 92 the guy says it’s a police package. It does have the 140 speedo but that’s all I noticed. Do they have the sho engine?
No, the police Taurus does share some parts from the SHO but nothing from the drivetrain. The police Taurus should have the 3.8 in it and all were automatics.

Ok, I haven’t seen the motor yet and it should have dual exhaust I think? It has over 200k miles for 1000$.

Absolutely I’m in the market lol. I found a police package 92 but I don’t know a lot about those.
Look in the SHO Finds section to see cars that are on the market or were sold recently (and in the past)
Below is another site where some nice cars were sold in the past. These prices are a little on the high side for what you may be able to pick up a car. They probably reflect cars that has a lot of the maintenance already done.

as mentioned above, the "police Package" Taurus is basically a regular Taurus usually base model that has certain upgrades to drivetrain and suspensions...ie stronger axles, trans bands and friction plates, brakes, and bushings....they will all still be the Vulcan V6.....There never have been any SHO Police cars unless they were privately owned and outfitted.....If you are looking for an SHO then stay away from police package vehicles.

Yes the 92 is only came with the standard Taurus SHO parts. Some police departments did use them for interceptors back in the day. But if I recall no special upgrades.
A few Mustangs and camaros too if I recall.
