Hi my name is Nick. I'm the owner of a 93 Taurus SHO. and I just joined because I really enjoy the SHO car in general. But I just purchased mine from an old friend for 700$. all mechanical is absolute perfection still. the only problem is its horrible interior, which is ripped, torn, you name it. door panels falling off, leaking sun roof. but I know this SHO is definitely worth fixing. I am looking for some good do-it-yourself advice and such for the SHO so I wont be paying the dealership thousands of dollars. anyways, thank you and I'm glad to be here!

Welcome aboard! The addition is not fatal, but typically is expensive...

sunroof seals are available from sunroofdoctor.

door panels fall off because the 'christmas tree' fasteners get broken/worn out. you can get replacements at auto parts stores or in bulk online. you need about 15 per door.

you can find decent seats at junkyards sometimes, or you can go to Katzkin and get completely new leather fabric and just replace it.

as was mentioned, search for what you need to know - most of the questions have already been answered.

(whisper) he knew that since nearly 50% of all SHOs built were green, and 2/3 of the 93s were automatic, that he had at least a 50/50 chance of being correct.

Where in AZ are you?

How many miles on the car? Also, do you have any records on what maintenance has been done?

Welcome in.

Southern AZ, South of Tucson.
It had 160k when I got it, haven't put much miles on it since.
Yeah, he gave me a binder full of all of the maintenance that was done, along with the carfax I looked up.
When he sold it to me he said "I don't know why you would want to buy a Taurus, but alright". Apparently, he didn't know.
And thanks guys.
