Hello everybody, I love this forum and have read it for years. I had learned about maintenance and performance mods from you guys for years before I got a 2016 SHO non PP with 37k miles in march of this year. I couldn't be happier with this car!!
So far I have changed all the fluids and filters, new spark plugs, switched all the lights to led, painted the calipers black, corrected the paint and ceramic coated the car and wheels with 3 coats of cquartz uk3.0. I also have a noisemaker delete pipe on backorder.
I have new tires, rotors and brake pads ready to put on, but I drive alot for work so I'm going to wait another 10k miles or so before I replace the factory tires.
*edit*
I forgot to mention I also added a dual catch can setup recently, that has caught like 1ml in 1k miles. I also drilled a 1/32 weep hole in the bottom left of the intercooler right after I got the car, and it dripped a couple drops out initially, now theres a big wet/oily spot on the bottom cover plate, so I am certain it is helping.

Welcome and sounds like you're doing all the right maintenance. It's good to drain the IC but is a weep hole a good idea? Sounds like an oily mess. Maybe make it larger, drain and then plug it. Last I remember I thought drilling a hole was not a good idea for boost leaks. Although 1/32 is tiny.

Welcome to the SHOsanity!

If you should ever happen to venture South of that dubious cheddar curtain, feel free to HMU.

Nice start on the mod's and maintenance.

Weep hole was discussed here previously (& extensively). General consensus was that it was no bueno.

Particularly for boost leak concerns.

Make it bigger and plug it. This way you can drain when desired, and cap for any/all times of operation.

Again, welcome aboard.

Thanks bpd1151, I work down in mchenry Il I dunno if that's anywhere near you.
I must have completely missed the discussion on the weep hole dang. I will get that weep hole turned into a sealed removable plug asap! When I researched it I found tons of info about the weep hole on f150 EcoBoost and those folks generally think its fine... however I know the Subaru forum folks are completely against weep holes.
Either way seeing the nastiness that has blown out of thru the weep hole I'm glad I drilled it. Now I just need to plug it.

Yea, the F150 owners found solace in that mod, but I seem to recall that that same very group having expressed problems with either the IC or its placement, or something.

Either way, it never planned out on our platform.

I'm down in Will County. Not to much further.

Welcome from Niles, heading up to Lake Zurich in a couple hours, kinda close to McHenry.
Some of us going up to Road America for the big Vintage races Saturday July 25th, I plan to take the SHO.

Thanks SHOCH, yup you were pretty close! I've never been to Road America, but I've gotta check it out sometime for sure!
