Cool Forum!

Just purchased a 1992 SHO MTX w/150k. Just installed the Dynomax Catback system, ordered Koni's and KYB w/lowering springs, getting the windows tinted, ordered wheels w/BFG sport comp 2 tires. I'm loving this car more and more each time I drive her.

It has a 73MAF w/K&N (stock air box), Stage 3 Clutch w/Fidanza Lightened flywheel, cats have been removed from y-pipe, had all the normal 60k stuff done along with rod bearings replaced and timing belt before I bought it by the previous owner.

Needs painting and will be delousing the interior this weekend as it looks like a bag of hot garbage exploded inside of it.

I hope to turbo it in the future, but for now I have a Compucar nitrous in the bag kit sitting in my basement getting no use, so I'll hook it up and spray a 50 shot and take her the dragstrip.

Look forward to sharing some of my progress with it and meeting all of you and learning more and more about these wonderful overlooked cars!

Welcome!!

Unless you are one of the very rare cars that had any luck with the 73mm MAF (it was the very first MAF "upgrade" from 20 years ago), you might try getting a stock 55mm MAF and try it out.

It runs great as far as i can tell? What sort of issue would it be giving me?

It needed the 19lb Mustang tube to run right. And most DID NOT. Someone can give you a stock 55MM MAF for next-to-nothing, if not free. Try it, then make a determination.
