First make sure the are aimed properly, most are too low. Then get some Sylvania SliverStars and a 100w headlight harness from a vendor such as Competition Limited

I'll second the Silverstars. I put them in our 97 SLO, and what a difference. Paul is that harness necessary, I didn't put one in ours. I was under the assumption that the stock harness was good enough?

I'll third the sliverstars. I put them in my SHO when I replaced the whole headlight assemblies back in June of last year. They will certainly make it easier to see, believe me.

I really do think that this car should have has some other type of lighting system, even a set of good driving lights, it realy lacks that front corner visibility.

The harness is not necessary. But the harness will make as big a difference as the new bulbs IMHO. The Gen 3 headlight wires are somewhere around 20ga.

How do I remove the front headlights? I removed the three gray bolts and tried to pull and push and pry. The things won't come out!

You dont need to do that. You need to slip your hand down there, and pry the harness off the bulb. There is the connector kurt is talking about, and you unscrew that, then the bulb comes out.

There is a tall standing pinch bolt on the back side of the headlamps. Loosen this a few turns.

SE 2SHOSE,there is like no room to take the bulb out from behind the light, one of my mechs. here at the dealership told me the best way is to remove the whole headlight.

Which side are you talking about? If its the right side (standing in front facing the engine), you need to unclap some electric thing from the plastic surrounding and turn it upwards. That will give you enough room to squeaze your arm in through the otherside and slip the bulb out. It's a pain at first, but it can be mastered wink I used a flat head screwdriver to push the pins on the socket appart, then I pulled the socket off with my other hand. If its the left, then you gotta just squeaze your hand down there. Lemme know how it works out.

You have a six right? I just looked at a DOHC six on my lot and my SHO seems to be a little bit tighter to get the bulbs than a six would be.

Hey Prpl, I will be back up in the Hill Country this week. If you want to see how I handled the lack of front corner visibility maybe we could meet somewhere. I also recommend the Silverstars.

Doh, mybad. I didn't think it would be that cramped up in the front, but anythign worse than a 6, then yank those assemblies out. You may have to stick your hand back there and pry the socket off because I dont think there is enough give in the wire take the assemblies out very far.
