What I'd do is get a tranny flush. Put new fluid in there and then see what happens. If it still does it, I think your tranny just may be on it's way out. It's a common thing with the ATX SHO's.

If it's slamming on the downshift, check the VSS sensor. Pull your codes and see what you get. Also watch for sporatic loss of cruise control, erratic (not ****** :D ) power steering assist, and dropping out of overdrive.

Hey Mikey, do Gen III SHO's have this also? Karen's slams hard when slowing down to a light, and I can also feel varying degrees of assist through the steering wheel. OD is through the shifter (99) so I've never noticed it popping out of OD, though it could... 36k on it.....

that's what either AZ or harassment of the dealer service manager is for... :D This is an exact quote of him speaking to my mom, "I'll take your son's word for it. I don't even have the techs check out Karen's car anymore. If he says something is wrong with it, I have them fix it."
