hows it going everybody? my name is Chad and i'm new to shoforum and would like introduce myself. i have been into SHOs for almost 3 years now. when i bought my first one i had no idea what an obsession i was getting myself into. i bought my first SHO at a car auction just on a whim. i liked the way it looked. dont get me wrong, i had seen SHOs before and knew a little about them, but till then i was a ******** camaro man. the first one i bought is a 93 white with black interior and in near perfect shape. i have no idea why the previous owner got rid of it. my guess is that they passed away and whomever inherited it didnt know what they had. anyway, since then i have bought 12 different SHOs. i currently own 7 of them. i've owned one V8 car and just didnt like having an auto trans. i didnt like the first gens until i bought my first one. it was sold as a parts car on eBay because it didnt come with a title. i bought it for $400 and fell in love with it. since then i have only bought first gens. up until two months ago i lived in Nashville, TN. i just relocated to Waikiki, Hawaii and had to put my SHOs in storage. i was not looking forward to driving anything else when i moved and as luck would have it i found a 91 PLUS on craigslist two weeks before i moved. as soon as i saw it i bought it. the day i landed in Hawaii i had a SHO waiting for me. i'm going to be in Hawaii for some time and am thinking about having a few of my other cars shipped out here, but i think what i will do is concentrate on fixing this one up the way i want it and ship it back there when the time comes. i plan to be on shoforum quite a bit as i am still learning about these cars and just learned about the site. this 91 PLUS has a future rod shifter conversion coming up and i have already found all the information i need to do it on the site. i would very much like to hear from any other SHO lovers on the islands and any possible clubs that might be here. also if anybody could recommend any reputable service centers that deal with SHOs in Honolulu i would greatly appreciate that too. thanks in advance for the future input. mahalo.
