Glad this worked for you. I had the same problem on my 92. However, that sucker was fried. I mean nothing was gonna come off that plastic. And it looked like crap. So I took it down to my upolstry shop and they covered it with 1/4 foam pad and velour identicle to the headliner. They even had the finger slot molded in. $25 and it was done and looked great. The foam and velour allows the airflow through the vents still when you just have it cracked.
