After having a battle with my right rear strut i needed a bettwe way than rotating the hub and pulling the strut out.

Now I have read I can push the old one out of the hub with a jack. Do I just position the jack on the floor and push the old one out? It seems that would create a LOT of tension and be pretty dangerous.

Thoughts?

Put a block of something under the spring perch and but the bottle jack between the block and the spindle. You can then jack the spindle off of the strut.

Be mindful of how the spindle is coming off...you may have to "walk" it off by moving the jack around a bit. **** it up as well as you can prior to jacking, especially if you have the long-tube rear struts.
