Well we finally had some time and I went out to get a video camera (thanks Mark, Sergio, Kaotic and Mike D for the suggestions) to display the first Generation 4 SHO, Now I call it a SHO because it has ALL of the stuff a SHO would have.

What are the real differences between a SHO and a NON-SHO (SLO)? Well obviously it’s the Motor! But you also have a different suspension, different Nose Cone, brakes, Spoiler (most years) Transmission, ECT ECT.

HISTORY of this project.

I have been in love with the V8 Motor for many years, and when they dropped it I was very disappointed! They then made the fourth Generation and the body change was incredible, I said that someday I would build one with a V8 but it would have to be the correct car. A console car is a must seeing that every SHO out there has one, it would need a factory spoiler and it had to be the right color! Color is key when making a one off car and the biggest thing was PRICE as this is a project that I personally would be paying for, as this car is for me. After meeting up with some TCCA members (www.taurusclub.com) they kind of forced me into just doing it  several of these people wanted prices for this and I could just not do it! I could not tell you about something that I had no idea if it would work because of the changes that were done from 99 to 00. I felt that I would have to do one at MY OWN expense to see what it would really take to make work, I would not feel right charging a customer shop rates to figure out how to do something. So I had it on the brain to get it done and in late 06 the right car came to one of my auctions and I purchased it!

Here it is..

It’s a 02 SES Sport in Black!, two toned (black and charcoal) interior, Console car and a spoiler. Now to make it into a SHO! And give it the Soul of a SHO.

Engine: Was a welded Failed motor , BBB’s, Ported and Polished Intake, 24lb injectors.
Transmission and Engine Cradle: 1998 from Illinois
Suspension: 1998 Sarc SHO specific
Exhaust: Custom Stainless Catless pipe, with a complete custom 2.5” Stainless catback with flowmaster 40’s
Body: 02 SES SPORT, Custom hood, Lip Spoiler, Shaved trunk, moved antenna to Roof, Spoiler
Brake system: SHO ABS, 11.6 rears and Cobra 13” Up front on the shelf, Stainless Lines
Interior: 02 SES Sport interior with floor shifter w/ OD button, Custom Seats on their way, SHO instrument cluster.
Wheels: 19" Centerlines, Nesho Colored Black.

Now the car runs, drives and we have tested it, its registered and Insured and Ill be driving it for a little while. Part two of the project is to install a modified V8 SHO motor, and give it some Boost. Stay tuned for more details as they come out…

We still not sat since the project was completed so pricing is not currently available, we will be sitting down to come up with pricing on this project in the very near future.

Here is a video for all of you, we had a blast making it and its just something to get out there for you all to see.

Enjoy!!!!!!!

Very very sweet! Can't wait to see this in person.

Kirk... tried to call you, per your email. Time to dump your voicemail again. Would love to get some nice digi-pixs of that thing.

Now... can you help me dump a 4.6L in my LS?????

Red car is the beater.... but I have a motorcycle now for fair weather times. I'd love to give the car to Ronnie and get the ground effects all done up too.

You gonna answer your phone this afternoon???

Took advantage of an opportunity to check this beautiful car out in person this past Sunday following our regional breakfast and Gun Show. Ladies and Gentlemen, all I can say is "WOW".

Unsurprisingly, this car epitomizes everything which defines Kirk as the true artisan I consider him. The level of quality supported by attention to the smallest detail is something I'd only seen in custom shops of days gone by - until now that is.

I cannot impress enough on all of you still sitting on the fence about Carlisle, what you'd be missing by not checking this car out in person. Even if you spend only a couple hours at the show, make a point of being there.

Congratulations to Kirk and NESHO on creating what should've been the natural progression in stand-out cars from Ford, the 4th generation SHO Taurus.
