Just like the title states when I pull the handle in the car the door does not let go. I have to open the trunk and pull the release in the trunk, and then use a key to open the door. How can I fix that?

There's a spring-loaded thingamajigger that either got worn or broke off entirely inside the gas door. New ones are available either a) off of any taurus at any junkyard or b) Rock Auto. You have to use either a 4.5mm or 5mm socket to get that little fastener off. I can't remember the exact size. If you open your gas door, you'll see it bolted to the door. That's what needs to be replaced.

Good to know! never thought to ask, i just stick something in there to pry while a lighter holds the gas pop lever up haha.

Ive seen more the one SHO trunk stop latching because its rusted out and the latch thats connected to the trunk lid is a.) not aligned anymore or be b.) moving around.

I actually cut metal out of the hood of the green ATX i got my 3.2 from to weld in on my old silver ATX that a friends GF owns.

My wife's car's trunk wouldn't open when the inside handle was pulled but worked just fine when the trunk button on the key fob was pushed. the solution was to take those two rubber bump stop thingies and unscrew them a little bit so they were sticking farther out. This puts upward pressure on the trunk and when you pull the lever, the trunk pops open. Voila!

As far as the gas door clip goes: Go to rockauto.com. Go to the part search tab, and type in 47201. It's like $2.70. Buy like 10.
