I am in the midst of dropping the entire eng/tran/subframe on a V8, and I have run into a small problem that hopefully someone can help with. I can't seem to get the two fuel lines disconnected at the spring clip area. I have removed the safety clip, and tried to get the lines to disconnect to no avail. I was assuming that the connector acts similar to an air hose connection, pushing/pulling the large ring one way or another and separating the lines. However, nothing seems to happen. HELP PLEASE!

No, there is an AC/Fuel line tool you need get to release the fuel lines. There is a round spring that needs to be push up to let the male side free. Most auto parts stores or Harbour Freight should have them.

Along with that, don't be afraid to apply some force. Sometimes the lines would pop out easy for me.. other times they were being quite stubborn and had to really force them out.

Mr. A, that is a carbon copy of the set I did find at Kragen. I have yet to try them out, but it was recommended as superior to the pliers type.
