I have the dreaded stuck fuel injector. It has happened twice in 4 months but never lasts after I shut it down and restart. Question is should I just go ahead and replace it or try some injector cleaner first. Thanks in advance

Ideally it should be replaced, because next time it could be a major event. Yeah, you could try fuel system lubricants, but they are best implemented in a maintenance situation than in a case like this.

Good deal thanks a lot. I was hoping I could pull a code off my sct tuner to be able to tell which one it was but it isn't showing any codes. It can't be that hard to change.

This will give you the chance to see if that plug has any fuel smell + if there's any oil on the spark plug boot. Don't know what Torrie is recommending these days for spark plug gap, but 0.030 seems to work very well. Many have confirmed that the SP534's come gapped stock at 0.030, so you may get lucky and not have to change the gap at all! Use a feeler-type gauge to measure gap, don't use those round gauges.

And a tune will eat plugs faster than OEM tune, so be prepared for that down the road. 15K-20K max.

Hopefully it's something simple like the plugs!

On the plug gap - I just changed mine last weekend. The new ones were all perfectly gapped at 0.035 (stock gap) & I had to take them down to 0.030.

I use wire gauges for measuring plug gap - As SHOdded said, don't use the round ones!

Wow... I'm confused!!! Round? Wire? Someone please clarify this spark gap lingo.
P.S. Sounds like a bad coil if temp. makes it come and go???

This is a wire gauge, similar to the one I use:

This is the dreaded round gauge :

These are notoriously inaccurate and will easily brake the fragile electrode on the iridium plugs our cars use.

Thank you onespdfrk!
I have the round kind but W/O the chrome plate. But the plugs I gap are bf42,
I have had the same plugs in my Pinto for 20 years. Clean, File, Re-gap, Repeat...
I guess that will have to be one more item I can add to my tune list...
