I am searching for the O-rings that seal the fuel injectors to the heads. The last time I removed my fuel rails to replace the knock sensor, I found the O-rings to be hardened and in need of replacement. I have found several O-rings from various sources, but none of them state specifically where they fit. If you know the part numbers or a confirmed source for these O-rings, would you please reply to this topic? Thanks.

Scott, I ran into this problem last summer when I changed out injectors. Not 100% but I don't think these are sold as a seperate item. I believe they are included in the ford upper gasket set (not the fel-pro valve/cam cover set) maybe from the heads up. Nick Chrimes (I went through sho nut for injectors) helped me locate some new ones by asking people who got the gasket set and didn't replace everything that far down would part with them. I think they were referred to as something other than o-rings. I think the factory manual calls them insulators. Hope that helps. :)

You know, Scott, I have that upper gasket set and I don't think I ever used the injector parts. If you need them ASAP I could get them out to you. Shoot me a private e-mail if you want them.

Scott,

I'm not 100%, but i think the SHO and the 5.0L share the same injector body. If so, Autozone has a set of o-rings(pn/ 800-9212) for $4.99. Thats a set of 16 o-rings. When they looked up the o-ring and also injectors for the SHO, both said N/A. If you know Autozone, it does'nt mean that they are not the same part! Could be different though...

The Napa I tried here said they didn't have anything like that. Not individually anyways. Neither did Sturdevants, AdvanceAuto, Checker, or the Ford dealership. They also couldn't figure out what they would come with as a set. Because of time I ended up putting the same ones back on. No leak but it still bugs me. I wouldn't mind knowing where to get ahold of some for the future though.
