My fuel injection pulse damper (sits on the fuel rail, passenger's side, without hose) is leaking fuel out the top. I discovered this is a hard part to find... Ford doesn't have it anymore, and Napa/Checker/Autozone/etc. don't have a replacement either. I was able to find a spare on eBay though.
Two questions:
1) Does anyone know if the damper has truely failed, or is it receiving excess fuel pressure, or something else?
2) Do I really have to pull the intake to change it? It looks like it needs more clearance to make it past the intake runner.
Does anyone have any experience in this area? Thanks
