Ouch dude...that sucks. Looks like first hand evidence of Department of Transportation not doing their jobs. The roads in this country are going to **** in a handbasket...and that sucks for someone with a sweet ride like a SHO.

Holy crap, I think that hole must be to big to call a pothole! Who's road was it (city, state, etc.) Get a pic of the hole, Although more trouble than prob worth if even possible, one should be able to get some reimbursement for that?

yeah he might be able to charge that to the city/state or w/e for not maintaining the roads, but good luck actually getting any money out of it.
Anyway holy **** that sucks that had to be one **** of a pothole (kinda like the one I hit), I was just complaining how i hit a *** hole in my atx, it busted my ball joint, swaybar endlink and cracked one of my springs. No damage to my rim or tires though, this is why I love running my 16's with a 55 series (no smaller) sidewall
yeah man, the pothole was about 4-6 inches deep hit it going about 45-50 mph. It was kinda near the shoulder but i was off to the inside because it was a turn. It was about 6 inches inside the white line(a guess since the white line wasnt there lol). I got a picture of the pothole with my cell but it doesnt do it justice enough to be worth posting im just incredibly ****** because im pretty sure that the rims are discontinued plus i dont really have enough to replace them so i guess im gonna be rolling around on some nice dirty slicers for a while. as far as checking my car for suspension problems/ other problems i actually just too ****** to want to deal with it im just gonna let it sit for a while lol
Anyways though i talked to a sheriff that showed up and he basically said "we put in a report to the county to get the pothole fixed but we dont do accident reports for stuff like this" Idk then later on he said he filed some case and something about he informed my insurance company idk i was really listening because he was being a ********

I avoid bumps and holes in the road like it's my job.
Even just hitting a fairly deep manhole cover I hate.

My brother told me a story of when he was driving his girlfriend's old SHO and a tree fell across the road right in front of him. He said he flew through the air like the Duke boys.
I also had a friend that was flying down the highway and took the off ramp and a good speed. He said he was standing on the brakes as not to land on a Toys R Us on the other side of the road.

This is the reason im so scared to get rims, especially up here where the extreme temp fluctuation makes for some killer *** holes. How much is that, 700-800 dollars gone just in those two rims and tires? Dang.
I had a mazda 323 i paid 100 dollars for 3 or 4 winters ago. I hit a sizeable *** hole hard enough to where i thought i was in an accident. Bent the rim so bad it wouldn't hold air.
buuut i put window caulk all around the bead and hammered the bent lip back down. countless reverse to 10mph then 1st gear burn outs and it was still holding.

It should and along w/a roll or 2 of duct tape should be as good as new!

I hit a pothole on a fairly well traveled road one day. I pulled over at the first opportunity and started changing the tire (it was my wife's car). There was someone else there changing there tire. While I was changing mine, I heard two more cars hit that pothole and pull into the same area where I was changing my tire. Unbelievable.
