I decided not to bump the other brake proportioning valve topic because this one is different.

With that, how much movement should be expected in the pins on the brake load valve?

Should I be able to operate the flapper with my hand?

Also, what is the distance between the flapper to the valve body on the valve?

My pins appear to be frozen but they seem to be frozen with open fluid flow so it's not so bad. The gap from flapper to valve body is about 1/4" and I tried to push the pins down and they wouldn't move - didn't try to pull them out though.

Any words on when these replacement plugs will ever be made? I'd really like to get those for my brake flushing and braided hose installation. May as well do it all at once.

How much do the pins move? Maybe a couple of mm. Maybe. They move very little.

It is nearly impossible to see if they are seized with the flapper on the car. Based on where they are in the brake system I suspect they fail fairly often, seeing as how water could pool inside a system that hasn't been flushed ever like most SHOs.

You should be able to move the flapper. However, they're so sloppy it's tough to tell if it's doing anything.

If they're seized on full fluid flow, you'll know. The car will stop like RIGHT NOW unlike when they're frozen the other way.

Those rear brakes DO help...

Well, the back brakes are warm so I know they work but I can't seem to make the pins move... my best guess is that they are stuck midway or my back brakes just suck alltogether
