I've been looking and can't find anywhere that specifies the type of front suspension the Gen I and Gen II have. What I want to know is it a an upper and lower control arm MacPherson Strut suspension?

I want to know because I'm from looking at my suspension with the wheels of I can't really tell where the strut that isolates lateral movement of the suspension is located. I've been debating suspension upgrades and want to know more about what is going on with the suspension. I also want to know what kind of shocks everyone uses with the upgraded struts and springs.

Thanks, I'm sure some people will want to make snide comments about this one so yes I have looked at the car with the wheels off.

okay, it is a macpherson style suspension system, but it only has a lower control arm, the knuckle holds the base of the strut. There are no shocks in the GEN I/II platform, only front and rear struts. Most people have been going with eibach springs and koni adjustable strut inserts, but you can also go with intrax springs and KYB GR2 struts, Tokico struts, etc. I'm sure there are others, but these are the main ones mentioned.

Thanks that clears up my confusion on that issue. It just didn't make sense to me the way that people were talking about it.
