Front Strut Removal

I take everything attached to the strut off, lower the subframe an inch or so on the side I am working on. The loosen the strut clamp, give the knuckle a kick and the strut pops out. Then take the three upper strut stud nuts off and remove the strut and spring.

you can leave your strut rod in place, just loosen it, and you'll have enough room to move your knuckle, i did this in the summer, i find the front's harder than the rear's but some will argue with me on that, i find it helps to have a extra person around, one to use a pry bar, and one to pull on the strut to get it outta the knuckle. it's not fun, but really not all that hard. good luck.
