Well my car is still smoking.... i haven't gotten a chance to fix my oil leak yet due to lack of funding. I had put a sealer and valvoline max life in to condition the seal so it won't leak as much. But it definitely not working. Its burning pretty bad. and the engine still smokes after driving it for like ten minutes. But the smoke has gotten worse, its really pretty bad, and the smell is undeniable. Can anyone tell me where the **** this damn oil is coming from?? The first mechanic said the rear main, a second said the cam seal, my one buddy thinks its either the front main or a head gasket. I have no freakin clue!!! I'm really gettin upset!! when i was drivin it earlier it felt like it lost alot of jump. I'd push it to the floor and it hesitates. it is until about 3500 rpm's that it gets alittle bit of jump. All i know is that it defintiely needs to get fixed and you guys are the only ones that probably know whats arong with it. Any ideas you could share so when i take it to another mechanic i can tell them exactly what might be wrong . Or do you guys think i should take it to the dealer so it can get fixed right? HELP!!!!!!!!!

How can WE tell you where YOUR oil leak is coming from? Only you can see it. Jack the car up, put jackstands under it and crawl under there. Seek and ye shall find.

Front main seals don't leak THAT much unless they are missing (not likely). That leak drips below the crankshaft damper onto the front bank catalytic converter. The intake camshaft seals also show their drips at the same drain port under the damper. The rear bank exhaust camshaft seal is behind the camshaft position sensor (cylinder ID sensor, CID) and will show a trail of oil down the power steering pump and rear motor mount.

The rear main seal shows its drips in the gap between the driver side of the oil pan and the transmission casing.

Valve cover seals start the leak way up at the mating surface between the heads and the valve covers. You would see the long trail of the drips down the head and possibly onto the exhaust manifold.

The oil pan seal will leak at that mating surface. The oil pan will be covered with oil and oil drips will be hanging at the lower pan surfaces.

The oil level sensor is located in the rear face of the oil pan above and to the passenger side of the drain plug. When the insulator on this sensor leaks you will get a good drip when the car is running or stopped.

The oil pressure sender is located farther up on the block, under the #3 cylinder (driver side, near the firewall) and will leak badly while the engine is running, but not so much when stopped.

Go. Seek. Find. And happy hunting.

i know phsically that you can't tell me where its coming from i was just trying to explain. its clear and apparent where its wet. its wet all over the front near the right side by the tire and towards the middle and goes back a little. the smoke comes from the right side near the battery and the alternator but its gotten soo bad that it comes from almost every where now when i'm driving smoke can be seen coming from under the drivers side tire as well and underneath too cuz my girlfrined was following me and she said she saw smoke from underneath but maybe that was beacause it was blowing back from the wind while driving.
