Nothing special as far as tools, just make sure the seal seats all the way in. And when the crank gear goes back on, don't hammer on it and definitely make sure that it goes on straight.

BD,

Clean up any and all corrosion on the end of the crankshaft. Then clean the inside of the crank sprocket and the pulley. Before assembly apply a thin coat of grease to the crankshaft end and inside the sprocket and pulley.

There is no need to overdo the grease, just enough to coat the bare metal. This also makes it a little bit easier to assemble the parts. rangerj

BETTY DAVIS:
Is the Cranck Sprocket difficult to remove. Does this component slide off.

You must be talking about the crankshaft gear, behind the crankshaft dampner. It doesn't just slide off, you'll need to use a puller to get it off. I had to go to the hardware store to buy some longer bolts to fit the puller I had, because the set that was included in it didn't have the right size bolts. The mid timing belt cover bolts fit the crank gear, but I found that they weren't long enough.

and they bend easily if your puller isnt on there straight.
