Anyone know exactly how to remove the front Caliper(s) on a 93ATX?? I am at college so I need to know what tools I will need. (I am replacing the pads, if it is of any significance)

It's been a while since I did any 10" brakes, but a #27 Torx bit seems to come to me. Maybe a bit bigger, any way, two Torx bolts on each side, large C clamp to compress the piston. Thats about all.

With the car on a jackstand and the wheel and tire removed, use a Torx 40 socket to remove the two slider pins (caliper locating bolts). Swing the caliper out from the bottom towards the front of the car and rest the caliper upside down on the top of the fixed part of the caliper and rotor. Remove the outboard pad and install a caliper spreader or C-clamp to slowly press the piston back into the caliper. If you have topped off your brake fluid, make sure it is not over flowing the reservoir. Remove the tool and the inboard pad. Remove both slider pinds, clean and lubricate with silicone grease. Reinstall slider pins into rubber boots. Install new pads.

If you were replceing the rotors then hang the caliper from a wire attached to the coil spring. Remove the old rotor, install the new rotor.

Install caliper at the top first (ensuring the spring on the outer pad is under the caliper tang )and swing the bottom into place. Torque the slider pins with the Torx 40 socket to 18-25 lb-ft. reinstall the wheel and tire and torque lug nuts to 85-105 lb-ft.

Enjoy your new pads. You didn't happen to choose my favorite Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pdas did you? I hope you did.

Thanks for the quick response. Are the rear caliper pistons different from the fronts? Because the rear pistons spin in and out. (Clockwise and Counter-Clockwise)

Yes, the front pistons are simple and just move in and out. They don't have to also be parking brakes. Press 'em in.
