Found something in tranny pan!

I did my tranny fluid and filter today in my 93 ATX and I found a washer or something like a washer/bearing type thing laying in my tranny pan any clue's to what it could be for? Any help would be great.

is it magnetic by any chance?, if it is than its supposed to be in there to catch metal flakes and particles and stuff, helps keep that stuff out of the tranny

No it's not magnetic. It looks like two washers together but it spins like a bearing would, its black on the outside and silver on the inside washer. And the black outside cover looking one has some grooves in it also. My tranny doesnt have overdrive now so I was thinking it has to be something for that.

If you don't have overdrive, this could be why. I don't know if it's the same part, but your problem sounds similar to this one.

You might want to get that looked at. Isn't Performance Plus in W.I.?
