This is a solid, well care for 1991 Deep Jewel Green Taurus SHO with the preferred equipment package 212. It is a one family owed car that I bought new and recently passed on to my son-in-law. The car has been regularly serviced over the years we have enjoyed it, and currently has 180,700 miles on the odometer. It has spent it’s entire life in Dayton, Ohio. In 2004, I dropped some serious cash on a high quality body shop to do body repair (metal/welding) on a couple rust areas and re-paint. At that time the front seat bottoms were also re-upholstered. After that time I did not drive the car in the winter salt months. The Exhaust was replaced (Dynomax 17400 system) in 2005, the A/C and water pump in 2007. Since 2014 it has aged some and spent more time outside and is now showing a couple rust areas returning (see pictures). The car runs well and has been regularly driven and serviced. The tie-rods and tires were replaced in 2014, and the Alternator and Battery in 2015.
I think this would be a good foundation for some restoration work. I really hate to let this special car go, but we just don’t have the resources. We are not expecting to get a lot for the SHO, but I would sure like to see it go to a good owner, interested in keeping it going. Make a offer. Photos below:
