Greetings,
We have a 95 V6 3.2 SHO She is smoking like crazy! but not at the exhaust.

It seems that some fluid (oil or Steering fluid) is leaking onto the catalytic converter and thus burning on the hot cat. What was once an anoyance, now makes the car not driveable (can't see).
The leak(s) must be small as she is rarely low on fluids.

So, to all you more experienced, please let me know where to start to find and fix this leak.

I gather from reading a post in the "How Do I" section that I need to pull the intake manifold (or at least the outer rails0 to get the the valve cover gaskets?
Any other ideas as to where to look?

BTW I flushed the radiator the other day. In the process letting the car run at idle for about 15 min the smoke diminished then stopped. A 10 min drive and it all came back.

Thanks
Kirk

More Info.
170k miles
Leaking onto the front passenger side cat.
She looses only a little oil. PS fluid is a bit low. but I guess that you only need a little oil to make a lot of smoke.
I will be doing more testing this weekend. Thanks

I had the same exact problem but it was a combination of things that made ny SHO smoke like crazy. At first it was just my front main seal I replaced that and it was still smoking but just as as bad before but then I noticed my lower radiator hose had a small leak and it was leaking on my Ypipe also. SO I changed that and my problems were solved. So check you lower rad hose and look around the front of your oil pan and remove your crank if you have the tools to check if it's your front main seal.
