i am looking at getting a new exhaust system for my '93 mtx and i wanted to know if anyone on here had used flowmaster 60's on their car with either the stock piping or the dynomax kit. a friend of mine with a prelude has one on his car and its loud and buzzy, but thats on a 2.0, and i figured that 2 of those mufflers together on a 3.0 might sound somewhere similar, just not as cheap or buzzy and farty as the straight through fart cans.

If i end up going with the dynomax ultra flo's on the dynomax system in place of the super turbos, what kind of sound can i expect? does it sound good at all? or is it very buzzy?

thanks for any and all help.

i did do a search and nothing came up about the 60 series.

I would be interested to know as well. My buddy at work LOVES his new Flowmasters on his '65 Jeep J300, I think they are Flowmaster 40s. But no telling how they will sound in a SHO.

I'm not much help with the Flowmaster's, as I have the Dynomax systems on my cars. Just wanted to say WELCOME to the forum.

P.S. What part of PA are you from? I'm in Selinsgrove.:thumb: If you need any local help, don't hesitate to ask.:thumb:

I'm currently running a single Flowmaster 40 series, and it sounds pretty freakin good if you ask me. I used to run a pair of the Pro-Flows on the stock exhaust piping, and it had a nice, mellow sound to it. Just too quiet for me...

i'm from south eastern PA i suppose. Lansdale area. its near quakertown, montgomeryville area. Right now i'm going to school in the Reading area. thanks for the welcome to the forum.

i was asking about the flowmaster 60 series...i think that is their small displacement import muffler. the insides look similar to a small 40 Delta series from them. i'll keep that in mind about the 40 series, might look into those, just the smallest case size for a bit more loudness.

ya i have dynomax on my car and it sounds alright. when i first got the car back it sounded the balls. it was quiet while driving regular but when i get on it its loud as **** just like i like it. the only thing is the other day i started hereing some rasp. ill just have to find what it is and get rid of it. i just think i have a loose clamp or it might be time for some new mufflers. they are pretty old.

I had Dyno's on my '92 and loved them. Finally had them rust out right before a trip and had to replace them with Flowmaster 50's (was either than or Ravins).

So far HATE THE BLOWMASTERS!!

Car's a lot louder now, maybe in a good way if you like that. But at hwy speeds they sound boomey, droning, etc. Cruising at 2500 rpm in 5th they are quiet with NO GAS. As soon as you even think about touching the gas, the droning starts.

Blipping the throttle hard at rest and you're greeted with rattling or pinging. Car sounds like a ricer now with a fart can.
