Last night I changed the fuel filter on my 89, and now the sticking throttle, along with starting problem, appear to be gone! Along with that, the car seems to run much more smoothly, with less jerkiness if I change the throttle quickly. And it seems as fast as ever! So thanks evryone who helped, especially ****! thumbs_u beer

sunny San Juan Bautista,
I just changed my fuel filter earlier this week too. It was the original filter with 148,000 miles on it. Gas coming out the clean end was still clean (guess my car wouldn't be running if it was dirty), but when I dumped the gas out the tank end, it was gray, gray, gray. I mean a really dirty, filthy gray hehe. My fuel pump actually sounded like it was less labored afterwards. :D

Glad I could help!!I'm also happy that it was something so cheap(inexpensive?) to replace!
I never have that kind of luck...but I'm glad somebody does!

I'm having that beer right now!
