Does anyone have any wheels wider than 17x8 on gen II? If so, what is the best way to trim the fenders?

I've had 19x9 rims on my SHO before, well tried them on my SHO at my buds tuning shop, I never drive with them but they fit good with a 42mm offset and 245/35/19 tires.

It made my SHO look like a big-size toy but fit just as well as my 18's from lock-to-lock upfront no rubbing, since my rear is so tight it sat right in the same spot as it sits right now with my 18x8's, which is right on the thread, except it was bit closer out to the fender. IMO for daily driving you would need to at least roll the rear fenders, without an aggressive drop upfront or saggy springs there shouldnt be a problem with rubbing.

There another Gen II SHO on here with 17x9 Cobra rims his member name is jdh00 (#338), I have the pics on my HD but i'll host them if I cant find them again on the forum.

There a bit out upfront but the rear looks good from the pics, I doubt you would need wheel spacers if 9" wont rub.

The way I used to trim fenders was to take some tin snips and cut about every inch or so on the lip. Then take a hammer and bend the lip up.

I think with my SHO when the time comes I'll just use my dremel and grind or cut it down. Back when I used the tin snip trick I didn't have a dremel. Just a nicer, more valuable car.

I just received my dremel i bought of ebay and love it. What about offset? What is the range that would be good for the gen II?

Anywhere from 38mm-45mm will fit depending on what width rim/tire it is paired with.

The most "better" offset on larger radius rims for the SHO is 40-42mm.
