I know you're getting tons of free advice here, so take this FWIW, but maybe think about painting the trunk interior as well. I don't think that area is that hard to prep, and it might make a nice difference depending on what you plan to do with that space.

Also, with the dash out you might consider a pre-emptive change of the blend-door actuator and possibly the heater core, especially if either has been acting up at all. Otherwise it's just the labor to get back in there and do it again. Since you now have dash-removing experience it's not so bad, but it's still a PITA.

Heater has been working fine. But i do think my A/c compressor is bad since i get no cold air. I did replace an aluminum A/C line about 6/mo ago, recharged the freon and no go ... well only for the first minute since it had new freon, but after that nothing.

The hood looks ok, but i guess its good for its purpose. I would really like mine just like the EVO with the side veins and everything molded. Carbon fiber too!

Well here are todays pictures!

Just a thought, I have been wanting a billet fuel door that they have for the 96-2004 mustangs, it is aftermarket, they even have a set up like our mechanized doors. I haven't found if it will be a direct match up, but I think it is, ford making only one size round gas tank fill lid, I know they make different sizes, but I think I will fit, I will find out. I think this would also look bangin' as **** on your car! It is looking good, I really want to do a heat dissipater hood

, You could match the styling ques and have it look pretty sweet! not like the evo's, I really think the evo's scoop (IMO) would look out of place on the sho. BTW, car is looking sweet, cool to know it is a one of a kind huh?!

Here you go, I did a microsoft paint to illistrate what I mean, Something to this effect:
nevermind, photobucket is acting up for some reason

Another thought concerning hoods...

Does anybody out there remember an issue of European Car where they did a build up on one of the editor's gen 2 M3? It was an all black car if that helps. Anyway, the guy that owned the car had his hood modified to resemble that of some certain racing M3. He had a carbon fiber hood that was the same shape as the stock piece (no cowl) but had three or four horizontal slits cut flush into the hood. The flaps that were formed by the cuts were folded down toward the direction of the engine. That way, he had a really trick looking hood that wasn't too big or flashy that also served a functional purpose of keeping his turboed I6 cool. The profile of the hood remained stock.

That wasn't a very good description, but it is the best way I know how to describe it. I will search for pictures or a link to better illustrate this.

I remember reading some of that online. Evosport did a lot of stuff for that car, I think I even saw Vadim's name mentioned.

Will there ever be problems later in the future with water getting into a spot where it shouldnt when it rains?

Yes, on louvered hoods, rain can be a problem if the car is stationary in the rain. Alternator can get wet and cause the car to stall or not to start. Other than that, the engine bay gets pretty wet underneath anyway, so really, the alternator and battery are the only real concern.

The remedy? Craft or buy a cover for the alternator and relocate the battery to the trunk. :thumb:

If youre going all out on this SHO, I have always thought a foreward hinging hood would look awesome.

In reality, it would not be that hard to fasion, if you have the correct materials, which, by the looks of the shop, and the other things youre doing, im sure you do.

Just a thought especially if youre doing a hood modification.

so were there any intentions of going with a wider, different offset rim, now that you have a huge wheel well?? Possibly some BBS's?! Hmmm.. PM some prices on the work being done if possible. I keep forgettin you're roughly 45min away from me! :)

I found cancer on the RR 1/4 panel on the Cali car.. Winter's dawning so the entire body is getting stripped, prepped, and hopefully entirely revamped. (exterior damage, interior rehaul)... I'd be interested in painting and extending the wheel wells as my car scrubs 225/50s on slicers in the back (with a full load, i'm assuming she's riding to positive, but i really want something wider for this here possible Nitrous candidate :thumb: )

Well im still looking into the wider wheels. I downloaded the tire size comparator to give me an idea of what i can do. So I am looking at the Volk Racing Progressive Wheel. Its a 19X8.5 and it weighs 20lbs! Im going to have to get some adapters made. But i will do this next year.

If you are really intertested for the flares i can have you talk to the guys that did mine. It will take time and money ... lots!

Tomorrow i will be sending my dash to the apholster since i received the material today.
