well ... getting along pretty well ... long weekend so no new updates except for running into short problems that have almost been fixed out. Rear flares were uneven. So that part has been fixed but post-poned the molding of the rear bumper since the curvature of the rear flares made it look like it was rear ended and moved the wheels forward. AGAIN IT JUST LOOKED THAT WAY! Plus the actual flares in the back ended up being alittle bit higher so almost look like the front. Rear wheels are not going to look so tucked in like they should beut either way im satisfied and it allows me to go bigger in rims.

If there havent been this many "glitches" the car would of been painted by now. .. that is If i wanted it like that .... but after working with a bodyshop for 2 yrs that fixes top end cars i have learned to see good work from bad and all minor eye-aches that really make a difference in a cars appearance.

Also ... for all those that were interested in these flares....
It is now a total of 12 fiberglass pieces that have been added/molded to the car :

- 4 fender flares
- 4 bumper flares
- 4 rocker panel flares( or additions to complete the flares)

this has been constantly discussed with the body shop and not counting all the hours put into these molds they have estimated 1000 per set in a raw fiberglass state that would still have to be molded and painted.

So please any comments/questions about these are welcome!

Another mod that i wanted to do to the SHO to give it the LOOKS at night was the GATOR GLASS. (http://www.gatorcustoms.net/gatorglass.html) I wanted to do this on the lettering on the sho adding this yamaha light up symbol on the picture on the door molds. Lookin somthing like this ... - S H O (Y) -

etchedglass.jpg

I went to the shop and was very impressed with their work. I was quoted 1500 for the door moldings and rear pumper. Im very tempted to go with it but 1500 really sets me back on performance upgrades wich include the cams and tweecer.

IMO, I would shave all the emblems off the car...including the doors and the rear bumper.

This car does not even resemble a Taurus anymore...why should it say SHO on it?

Lots of work into the car, but it is just not my thing. Sorry.

I disagree. Shave the Taurus and Ford emblems, sure, but definitely LEAVE the SHO emblems on it man. You can't forget that when you get right down to it, how many of us would be driving these things if it just had a bunch of badges and a Vulcan motor in it instead of that gorgeous Yamahammer?? Just my .02 cents. Also, that gator glass looks BAD ***. Seeing as your car is about to be THE most bad *** looking SHO in the world, why not go just a little further? :thumb:

One thing, PLEASE don't tell me you're going to put a huge wing on the back...that would just ruin the whole thing.

no ... im still keeping the original on. I was looking into getting the actuators from a 2003 porsche 911 turbo. The ones that lift up the wing on it. I have looked at one of those on the porsche and its very simple to install. Even though it would of been controled manualy it will still look good when it goes up or down. :)
At 1500 brand new i think ill just pass until i can find some used ones online.

Are you doing any other body work while you have the car apart? Shave the door handles and keyholes?
