Whats the BEST full system headers back and cats too for the SHO? I would be looking for good sound but some hp/tq gains too. Whats the system running for the parts and whats labor typically take on the SHO?

Thanks for the input.

I just slapped on some Flowmaster Deltas and gained some decent sound but not much (if any) power.

Thanks for the input.

If one goes with the kit package from the sho shop how much gain is there truely?

Also was curious about the suspension package from them and the sub frames that do not come in the package.

The other obvious thing is the cam fix they offer and how much it would cost labor wise to have that task completed.

There will be other opinions, but in general, there is not a lot of HP gain to be had from altering the exaust system, SHO Shop version or otherwise. Most people seem to agree that the main advantage is in improved sound, if that is what you are after.

I believe the SHO Shop does the pinned cam fix, which tends to be rather expensive compared to welding. You might want to contact Kirk, one of the board moderators (I think his handle is 'shodown' or something similar). He is our expert on cam welding on site.

As per the suspension, I do not think the SHO Shop offers the most useful suspension mod any more, which is a Front Strut Tower Brace, but I think you can get one from MidWest SHO still.

For the FSTB direct from the source:

For the Rear Sway Bar Read V8SHO and make your own decision. I LOVE the 26 Rear bar combined with the FSTB on the wife's 99. I'm going to play around with a 29mm rear bar on my 96 and see what all else I need to do to make the thing be balanced. At Blackhawk Farms the wifes car had GREAT balance when pushed to the limits with the 26 rear and the FSTB with the stock front bar.

Sorry to keep this going farther and farther from the original topic, but too have gotten to LOVE the feel of the 26mm RSB and FSTB combo. I still have a 24mm FSB sitting in my garage that I"m wondering about. Is there anyone out there who has driven with the 26mm RSB and FSTB combo then add the 24mm FSB? I'm thinking it would bring back SOME understeer, but I'm not sure. Any input is appreciated. (yes, I know I have to "make" the FSB fit in the GEN3)

I have the 26mm rsb, 24mm fsb and the fstb. The car is glued to the road. I also have the shorty sfc and now lowered OEM rate springs in the front. And 16x7.5" wheels.

I also have the glued to the road effect, using the oem FSB, a 23mm RSB, a FSTB, and 235x45x17 Potenza 950s on 8 inch rims. I am running 38 lbs in the front and 32 in the back. Playing with the pressures can have a major influence, I have found.

I've had the Borla Cat Back system on my 99 now for about 2 weeks and it is great! It has added some HP & TQ in the seat of the pants! And I still have the third cat on. The sound is unbelievable. It's sweeeeeeet! It was expensive, but I'm happy! :D It's all stainless with a million mile warrenty and looks great, even with the tips it came with. thumb
