I would personally recommend Flowmaster 40series street/strip mufflers at the back. Tell your muffler guy to remove the resonator as well. If you are unfamiliar with this piece, it is located between the 3rd cat. and the split. It does nothing but act as a baffle, and adds to the backpressure. Have him stretch and reattach your factory tips. Make sure he welds, as clamps will be be a regret. I had all this done in an hour for about 220 bucks, and that of course included the cost of the mufflers. thumb

There must be some shop in town that does mufflers; Midas etc. Personally, I like to use local guys, not expensive chainstores. You can go to the Flowmaster web-site to find the nearest salespoint to you. Thats how I found my installer. Turns out they are literally right around the corner from my house. Had them in stock, and on the car in an hour on a Saturday morning.

Still stock and still waiting for at least a pin hole to show up in the ones that came from the factory, since I refuse to replace something still working just fine. But 5.5 years down the road, (and a lot of Nova Scotia roads in the winter, at that) I have to say the factory mufflers are still remarkably solid. Of course, if I had no interest in trying some new ones, they would have fallen off years ago... wink

Borla made an excellent cat back exhaust for the SHO. It sounds wonderful and the look is exceptional. When I purchased my catback, it was bought directly from Borla at a steal. If it wasn't so cheap, I probably would have opted for just two mufflers. Flowmasters do sound good on the SHO but a little too chaotic for my tastes. Borla on the other hand sounds powerful with a more organized sound.

How much did the cat-back system cost you?
