I am looking for a single round muffler to go where the resonator used to be. Any suggestions for a good sound and quieter than straight pipes!!!! I am gonna get a ticket with this toy especially for HIGH rpm bursts!!! Also is factory pipe 2 1/4?

Thanks!

If I were doing that, I would use a Flowmaster of the proper size in the series they use for large suv's - that will flow enough air and provide a reduction in the raspyness without making it too quiet or too much restriction.

The pipe following the resonator is 2 1/2", so I would work with that.

About 8 years ago, when I bought my 90, it had a single exhaust system.
I installed Flowmaster 40 series mufflers at the back and had the shop put in their garden variety see-through round muffler to replace the resonator.
It works like a charm, no rasp, and all the exhaust system is still in service today. The round muffler will run hot, so it is not going to rot out, even if it is not a stainless item like the flowmasters.
