Exhaust Question

I have been wanting to put exhaust on my car for a while now and i was thinking about buying 2 flowmaster 40/50 mufflers and tips to replace the stock ones.

Will this sound as good as putting on a whole new y pipe with it?

And will i have to get a tune if i just put on new mufflers?

Not really sure right now. But im wondering how the mufflers will sound with all the cats and no tune?
Im thinking the 40 series.

I went with a Magnaflow cat system. I also did a custom cold air intake. The exhaust idle sounds a beet deeper, but not sure if it's from the intake or the y. Doubt it is the y because it's a oem bolt on, with a bit better flow enhancements. I have not deleted the flex, res, or 3rd cat yet. With a cold air intake, all you hear now is the motor and secondaries.
