Real simple question here: when I bought my car it was missing the hanger bracket for behind the muffler on the left (drivers) side of the vehicle. The car still has original exhaust, no mods that Im aware of. I need both the metal brackets and the rubber hanger. Anyone know where I could find such a thing or does anyone have used ones for sale... Thanks

Just check with a local muffler shop. They should have something lying around that will either match or get it to work just fine. Unless you're making a "show" car then maybe check junk yards to find the exact match if your local shop doesn't have it.

The bracket if I remember correctly, is part of the muffler and is held in place by a strap around the muffler. There should be a sheet-metal post that extends from the rear unibody frame-rail, right above the muffler.

If you want OEM, I can get the bracket and rubber hanger for you.

Yea the top one is kinda S shaped and has a hole at the top. Theres a bolt at the rear of the subframe that holds that bracket. If I could get that bracket and the rubber holder then I could just weld something to the muffler to hold correctly. How much is OEM and what is the availability? Or could you get me a part number?

The bracket you're describing is used on the passenger-side muffler.

The steel bracket is obsolete. Dealer List is $17.50, but being obsolete, might be found for 10- to 30-percent discount.

I'll see what I can find, as I did purchase one last year . . . .

Driver's side is as stated - there is no bolt-on bracket for the muffler.

I have a couple more calls to make for the passenger side bracket, but as of right now there are no sources for NOS.

The wrap-around strap/hanger on the mufflers are included with the muffler and not available separately.

Oh ok I see what youre saying... Um did a closer look and just had a weld that was separating on the front of the muffler. Did a little touch up on the weld and it fixed my problem. Thanks anyway for the help!
