I came up with a replacement for the discontinued engine torque damper. found a 6" universal elastic damper on ebay for $33 on ebay. it has a fixed bearing on one end and an adjustabe lrod end bearing on the other. to make it work i removed the adjustable end and installed a 4" garde 8 10mm coarse thread bolt in its place, used the included lock nut to fix the top of the bolt tight to the upper mount and reused the top mount upper and lower rubbers and washers on the 4" bolt. the bottom rod end is thinner so i had to use 2 washers on each side of the bearing to fill the gap on the bottom bolts unthreaded porton, but the bottom bolt fits the bearing tight. so far its working great( alot tighter) If any one wants to check out the damper the sellers name on ebay is "boostmasters" and the current auction # is 170635067610. im picking up 2 more for the other mounts and will post pics of the install soon!

when I remove mine my engine wobbles all over the place when I shift

I actually sheared the bolt on the bottom of the side dampener. When I replaced that bolt the engine didn't move around as much. In my case, I think the real problem is my rear mount, though. It's old, worn and soaked in oil, thanks to my (now repaired) cam sensor leak.

I have old-style SHOShop solid limiters in all three places.

Nice find.
FWIW, I have thrown at least 6 full sets of those in the scrap heap.
Buy my reinforced Engine Mounts, and your set for life.

Mine are in for decoration. My mounts don't let then do any work anyway.

They will do nothing with the right reinforced motor mounts. Cool find, but they will just be there for decoration.

It's certainly not hurting anything having them in conjunction with a reinforced MM. I know Ashley has some reinforced ones on her car, we have yet to remove them simply because they have not got in the way yet.
