I needed to know, if anyone has replaced a 3.0 SHO engine, in replace of a regualar 3.0. I have a 97 Taurus GL, and the engine is jacked, so I am going to have to replace it. I needed to know if anyone has done this before, and how hard it was, and what exacly they did. Thanks

it's been done in older taurui but i don't think the yamahammer will fit under the 96+ hood. there is always the v8 but that would be expensive and incredibly hard to swap (wiring, Sarc, ect..)

not sure about the sho motor. But......

Have you thought about the other 24V motors (duratech I think?) that came in the '96 and later taurus? That swap might be easyer to do.
