Had the strangest thing happen the other day.

Was cruising my '94 MTX to work in the morning.. moderatly hot, had some tunes cranked and happened to be pulling past a truck.

a second or two later the car just dies. i pop the clutch and try to start her up again to no avail. after letting her cool off a few mins she started again but ran only long enough to let me get a few blocks down.

parked her in a safe spot and was able to get her home at later that night. ran fine till right before my house where the engine died again. so it happened exactly the same distnace/time.

havent run codes yet, this weekend i will. 'been enjoying riding the bike instead since (i also own a yamaha fzr 400.)

if i run the sho short distances i have no issues. only when the temp needle gets half way up the dial she will die till the engine cools. this doesent sound like a CPS related issue.

any ideas anyone?

Actually it does sound like the CKS, with it dying after heating up and after it cools down everything is fine. Sooner or later it will fail completely. Might as well replace the water pump that is dripping on it.
